Resource Required: AdobeXD, Lucid Chart, Survey Monkey, MS suite

Techniques: Double-Diamond Process, Paper-Prototype, Wireframe, Survey, MOSCOW, Competitive Analysis.

As a team of three UX designers, research revealed that people traveling to different countries and cultures don’t have enough resources and information to explore new neighborhoods. As a result, they usually book a travel agent or look for a local guide.

We decided to make a mobile app for travelers who would enhance the planning process of the trip. Some key features included: a budget, to-do list, reminder, itinerary, and offline maps, and many more.

When I first came to the United States in August 2017, I was excited to learn and experience everything New York City and its diverse inhabitants have to offer. To help me get started, I utilized NYC.GOV one of the most popular resource websites used by visitors and native New Yorkers alike.

While I enjoyed a large amount of information and links, I discovered that only a few of them operate by users. And I felt the experience of using the site could be improved. Therefore I with my team decides to restructure the architecture of the website and make it more efficient.

User Experience Research

USABILITY TEST ON ZIPRECRUITER

Time: 2 Weeks and 4 Days

Software Required: ZipRecruiter App, Survey Monkey, MS suite

Techniques: Design Questionnaire, One-on-one Interview, Qualitative Analysis, Design Thinking, User Testing

ZipRecruiter is a leading job search platform with heavy competition like Indeed and Monster. Our goal was to research users who job hunted using ZipRecruiter and analyze their behavior to help solve any pain points they reported.

We organized usability research activities to find out how they received information when completing specific tasks and their overall experience. Some key findings were that participants felt confused by the on-boarding process of ZipRecruiter. Along with this, users were unsure about giving sensitive information such as their location before starting a job search.
